Pam Horan is an acknowledged leader in the internet media and advertising space. She is a leading voice across a wide range of topics including internet business models, content and audience strategies, monetization as well as on industry issues such as privacy, self-regulation and government regulation.
Ad:Tech honored her with their Industry Achievement Award in Oct. 2017, highlighting her contributions to help publishers in diversify revenue streams, gain reader trust, and build strong brands across multiple platforms. Pam is currently on the Board of Advisors of MediaSmith and dPrism Advisors. She is also actively involved with Oregon Entrepreneur Network, Oregon Venture Fund and Cascade Seed Fund. Pam has also assumed a leading role in cultivating the next generation of women for roles on board of directors.
Pam joined Peter at Horan MediaTech Advisors as a partner in June 2014.
Prior to that Pam was President of the Online Publishers Association, which she ran for almost a decade. The OPA is the trade association for the media companies that are the leading creators of quality original digital content. Under her leadership the membership of the organization more than tripled and the scope of its contribution to its members businesses also increased greatly.
Prior to joining the OPA as VP of marketing and membership in 2004, Pam was VP Marketing & Business Development with Zinio Systems, the digital magazine service. In addition to driving the marketing, promotion, PR and branding strategy, Pam drove key strategic partnerships including Apple. Pam has also held senior marketing & management roles at Women.com, IDG and Symantec Corporation.
